Also: how do you price yourselves, generally? I know that I am going to be pretty cheap at first, but I still need to set up a system! All I am looking for is some tips to that regard (even just a link to your prices would suffice), and also if anybody would be interested? So far i only know of like .............. one LMAO

you probably cannot afford a million things unless it was like each commission was ¢0.05

or free

which it will not be

WE HAVEN'T TALKED IN FOREVERRRR. *IS AWFUL FRIEND CHAN*

For a good starting price on commissions, I would say somewhere around 10-30 dollars. It really depends on what you're doing for the artwork and what materials you need to use.

As soon as you find out how to work paypal, I would love to buy commissions from you. :))

MAN YOU ARE RIGHT WE HAVE NOT D: I am a worse friend chan than you lol LOL KJSHg;uehjkh /dies

HM THIS IS CERTAINLY REASONABLE. I do not wield considerable skill over expensive things, and also i am not a gr8 artist so I will probably be on the lower end of the spectrum. ; 3 ;

OH MAN IF YOU DO THAT WOULD BE GREAT <3333333 I will probably be giving discounts to all of my friends lol SO YES LOOK OUT FOR THEM THEN YOU ARE SUCH A GREAT PERSON 8(

DOO EET. I'm sorry however that I cannot buy some of your delicious art as I am po'. And, fffff, I have no idea about pricing, but I can guesstimate for you? Just pencil/ink sketches, from what I've seen, can range from $5-$13 and that depends on how much of the person/thing/whatever you're gonna draw. Anything colored can be around $20 and up and that is also dependent upon how much time and effort you want to put into it.

And that's just from looking at other people's prices.

*THROWS MONEY AT YOUR FACE*
I will commission everything ever from you for the rest of my life.

Paypal's pretty simple. You just set it up, and when people want to pay you they go to paypal to send money, put in the email address you registered with and how much they want to send you, and it gets put into your paypal account, which you can link to your bank account and deposit the money from paypal into the bank. 8D That is what I do.

As for pricing.. Uhm... I do $5 for sketches, $10 for inks, $20 for colored images. +$5 per additional character, +$10 for elaborate/large backgrounds, +$20 for it to be a comic page. BUT MY PRICES ARE KIND WEIRD? I DUNNO. I think it's a good breakdown and it works for me? But I don't do many commissions these days because I can never get myself to work on them because I'm a fail-chan.

I HOPE THAT WAS HELPFUL?

KJSHLDKH your insight into prices and paypal have been INVALUABLE THANK YOU SO MUCH <333
Sono Eliane Anderson-Kei: Yayyyyyy![info]sono_cat on July 3rd, 2009 02:42 am (UTC)
I AM GLAD I WAS HELPFUL BECAUSE I JUST KIND OF BLATHERED ON FOREVER. I GUESS SOMETIMES I SAY THINGS THAT ARE USEFUL?

I will totally throw money at you to draw me things because I LOVE WHEN YOU DRAW THINGS. Hell I will probably throw money at you to draw Ben because Ben is fantastic.

x--x My pricing has changed so much over the years, I am so glad I was able to help you figure something out because my pricing used to be so much fail.
